Almond oil is one of the most popular non-greasy oils used by massage therapists. Frequently used as carrier oil, it offers a delicate scent when warmed and blended with essential oil used for aromatherapy. Naturally rich in protein and vitamin E, sweet almond oil also contains valuable glucosides and minerals, making it excellent for skin nourishment. In addition, it is regarded as a great emollient for lubricating and softening the skin. Thus, while beneficial for most skin types, it is especially effective on dry and itchy skin.
